Rochester Hills Senior Portraits – Shannon

I went to Shannon’s house, near Oakland Township, for her outdoor senior portraits.  We had a beautiful day.  While on my way I passed the perfect red barn with peeling paint and thought to myself “I wish we could use THAT for some of her photos”.  Well come to find out the barn is at the end of her driveway!  I was too busy gawking at the barn and missed my turn.  I was so excited.  She also wanted photos in a field of wildflowers and there was a field just waiting for her photos right next to her house.  Talk about a day when everything comes together.  Enough of my babbling, here are a few photos.

The barn rocked!

Oh, I can’t forget to give a shout-out to Shannon’s Mom for being a fantastic reflector holder!

Alyse – Detroit Senior Portraits

Alyse came in a couple of weeks ago for her Senior photos.  She brought her Mom and big sis along with her.  We did studio photos then went outside around the studio for her outdoor photos.  It was a good thing big sis was along because the mosquitoes were so bad she had to fan Alyse with the reflector so we could get our shots.  They were definitely worth fending off mosquitoes. 🙂

Twin Seniors – Detroit Photographer

We had a super hot day for these two to do their outdoor photos.  They did a great job and didn’t let the heat get the best of them.  We hiked through mud and weeds to get their photos and we all felt pretty itchy when we were finished.  It was worth it though 🙂

The Grind Workshop

I had a wonderful time attending the Grind workshop here in Detroit.  It was put on by Andy Armstrong of design|house. He offers some amazing actions and templates. There’s also a wealth of information on his website for using photoshop.

We had a great group of people and models over the 2 days. So much learning and fun. One of the model couples were friends of mine.  Shana and Jason.  Jason is also in a band and available to book for shows and events, check out his site, www.jasonpyzik.com Here are a couple of their images. I will post some of the other models after I receive their model releases.

Good Luck, Kendell – Detroit Michigan Photographer

Please help me in wishing Kendell ‘Good Luck’!  She is auditioning for the show ‘So you think you can dance’, an entertainment spot on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship and Disney in Florida.  Kendell and her Mom came in last week for headshots and a couple of full shots.  We had a fun session, with many background changes.  These were my two favorites.

My Favorite Senior Photo of ’08 – Detroit Senior Photographer

I was just thinking the other day about some of my favorite photos from the past year.  This one is one of my absolute favorites.  We had a great session and Rachel and her mom, Nancy, were super nice.  We had planned to do indoor and outdoor photos the day they came, but it poured rain the entire time so we rescheduled for the outdoor photos the following week.  This photo was just a real quick, ‘let’s try this’ and voila, it just happens to be my fave.  Rachel and Nancy must have really liked it too b/c they ordered it as a wall portrait.

Nancy also sent a very nice email to her friends, I can’t thank her enough 🙂 .  Being referred to family and friends is the greatest compliment.  Thank you Nancy and Rachel.

Here’s her email:

Moms,

I want to share with you this fabulous photographer that took Rachel’s
senior pictures. Angela is so creative and spent hours capturing that
perfect moment. She specializes in maternity and infant photography, but
everything she shoots is magic! Angela works out of her home in Auburn
Hills and I highly recommend her for the personal attention that she gives.
We had a lot of fun with the dress and scenery changes. Print packages and
a la carte prices are very reasonable too.

Nancy
