Luxe Holiday Cards – Oakland County Family Photographer

These new die-cut cards are all the rage and so different. They are printed on premium paper and come in 5 stylish shapes. I can order them with a pre-punched hole and they can be used as ornaments on the trees of your friends and family. Below are a few samples. They aren’t the only designs available and you can also get the regular style holiday cards.

Well I went to an awesome workshop and came home with a few new backgrounds. I have so many and just keep adding more! I don’t think I’ll ever have enough! I also went crazy buying these super adorable headbands and hair clips. Anyway, I bribed Sienna to pose for a few shots. I’m ordering a canvas of the first one to hang in the studio as a sample.

Matilda Jane Trunk Show – Michigan Children Photographer

Have you seen Matilda Jane clothing? It is super cute and beautiful to photograph. They offer sizes from 12 months – adult.

I’m having my first Trunk Show, Monday September 20 from 7:30pm – 9:30pm. Everyone who makes a purchase will receive a $25 studio credit and have their name entered into a drawing to win other photo related prizes.

If you can’t attend but would like to make a purchase you can contact my trunk keeper, Rachel Jordan at 248-669-0285, prior to my show and let her know you’ll be ordering with my show. You’ll still be eligible for the $25 studio credit and the drawing.

Shannon – Michigan Senior Photographer

I went to Shannon’s house for her outdoor senior portraits. We had a beautiful day. While on my way I passed the perfect red barn with peeling paint and thought to myself “I wish we could use THAT for some of her photos”. Well come to find out the barn is at the end of her driveway! I was too busy gawking at the barn and missed my turn. I was so excited. She also wanted photos in a field of wildflowers and there was a field just waiting for her photos right next to her house. Talk about a day when everything comes together. Enough of my babbling, here are a few photos.

The barn rocked!

Oh, I can’t forget to give a shout-out to Shannon’s Mom for being a fantastic reflector holder!

Alyse – Detroit Senior Portraits

Alyse came in a couple of weeks ago for her Senior photos. She brought her Mom and big sis along with her. We did studio photos then went outside around the studio for her outdoor photos. It was a good thing big sis was along because the mosquitoes were so bad she had to fan Alyse with the reflector so we could get our shots. They were definitely worth fending off mosquitoes.

Twin Seniors – Detroit Photographer

We had a super hot day for these two to do their outdoor photos. They did a great job and didn’t let the heat get the best of them. We hiked through mud and weeds to get their photos and we all felt pretty itchy when we were finished. It was worth it though

The Grind Workshop

I had a wonderful time attending the Grind workshop here in Detroit. It was put on by Andy Armstrong of design|house. He offers some amazing actions and templates. There’s also a wealth of information on his website for using photoshop.

We had a great group of people and models over the 2 days. So much learning and fun. One of the model couples were friends of mine. Shana and Jason. Jason is also in a band and available to book for shows and events, check out his site, www.jasonpyzik.com Here are a couple of their images. I will post some of the other models after I receive their model releases.
